2008 Tech Jam Speakers on RETN, Channel 16

For six consecutive Thursdays, from March 6 to April 10, RETN will air its local coverage of the Vermont 3.0 Creative/Tech Career Jam speaker series. Premiering Thursday, March 6, at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m., Bill Shubart, co-founder and chairman of Resolution, Inc., asks and answers the question “How Do You Keep Up With Technology? Reinvent Your Business.” Shubart will be followed by Champlain College associate professor of web development, Frank Canovatchel, with a look at “The Ways of the Web.” at 12 noon and 9 p.m. Programs may also be viewed online at www.retn.org.

The Career Jam speaker series is divided into two sections, business and academic. Each week Channel 16 will present one program from each section. Business speakers from some of the state’s most successful companies explain how they use technology to stay competitive. Business programs will air at 11 am and repeat at 8 pm. Academic speakers share information about Vermont programs in robotics, e-gaming, green technology, architecture, and computer science. Academic sections will air at 12 noon and repeat at 9 p.m.
